Karachi, April 3, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released an update on shipping operations for Thursday, April 3, 2025, providing crucial details to maritime stakeholders.
These updates outline vessel movements, including arrivals, departures, and cargo handling activities at Port Qasim over the past 24 hours.
Vessel Departures
Port Qasim saw multiple vessels completing their operations and departing successfully. Notably, the container vessel CMA CGM Cendrillon departed from the terminal after finalizing its cargo handling procedures. Similarly, Maersk Cairo also completed its scheduled operations at Port Qasim and set sail as per the port’s operational timeline. Additionally, Asia Liberty, which was involved in the transportation of palm oil, concluded its operations and left the port in accordance with shipping schedules.
Vessel Arrivals and Berthing
Several vessels arrived at Port Qasim to commence shipping operations. Watasumi, carrying chickpeas, berthed at Marginal Wharf-I, ensuring a steady supply of essential commodities. Meanwhile, the chemical tanker Titan Unikum, loaded with ethylene, docked at Engro Vopak Terminal to facilitate industrial needs.
The Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tanker Al Kheesah reached Pakistan GasPort Consortium Limited (PGPCL), ensuring an uninterrupted gas supply to meet national energy demands. Another key arrival was the container ship Torrente, which began operations at the container terminal. Additionally, Yasa Neptune, transporting coal, and Corona, carrying soybean seed, berthed at Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), highlighting the port’s role in handling bulk cargo. The palm oil tanker Sinar Malahayati also arrived at Liquid Cargo Terminal (LCT) for unloading operations.
