Karachi, December 16, 2024 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released a detailed update on shipping operations for Monday, December 16, 2024, to inform stakeholders about ongoing activities.

In the last 24 hours, five vessels, including X-Press Kohima, Kouras Queen, Anikitos, Sea Wolf, and Erin Manx, docked at various terminals. These ships were engaged in loading and offloading containers, rice, soybean oil, Mogas, and coal at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, and Pakistan International Terminal, respectively.

Meanwhile, five additional vessels—Limco Logger, Sinar Malahayati, Arctic Tern, Sea Fortune, and Al-Deebel—arrived at the outer anchorage. These ships are scheduled to handle cargoes such as rice, palm oil, chemicals, and LNG.

Currently, nine vessels are actively engaged at PQA berths, and five ships, including X-Press Kohima, Split, Sea Wolf, Ullswater, and Apollo-GR, are expected to depart from the port on Monday.

In terms of cargo volume, the port managed 74,657 tonnes of cargo during the past 24 hours. This includes 55,376 tonnes of imported goods and 19,281 tonnes of exported goods. Additionally, 350 containers were processed, consisting of 299 TEUs for imports and 51 TEUs for exports.

The PQA also reported that 24 ships are currently stationed at the outer anchorage. Of these, seven vessels, including Limco Logger, Amis Queen, Sea Fortune, Hafnia Excellence, Al-Deebel, Al-Diab-II, and Cussler, are scheduled to berth at various terminals on Monday. These terminals include FAP, EVTL, FOTCO, EETL, SSGC, and QICT, and the ships will handle a variety of cargo such as rice, canola, chemicals, gas oil, LNG, LPG, and containers.

Additionally, three more vessels—MSC Candice, MSC Positano, and Maersk Hartford—are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday.
