Karachi, July 10, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily report on shipping operations, highlighting vessel activity and cargo handling over the past 24 hours to assist industry stakeholders, logistics companies, and shipping agents. The report, updated at 0800 hours on Thursday, reflects the dynamic flow of maritime traffic and the efficient functioning of Port Qasim.
According to the PQA, multiple vessels engaged in critical shipping operations including cargo discharge and loading. The report shows consistent berthing and sailing activity across several terminals, reflecting robust operational efficiency at one of Pakistan’s key ports.
In terms of shipping movements, vessel M.V-XIN LIAN CHANG (PQA Reg. No. 36055), with a length overall (LOA) of 158 meters, sailed at 15:00 hours after completing its activity at berth QT2-II. Similarly, M.V-IVS PHOENIX (Reg. No. 36024), carrying a shipment of 58,344 metric tons of coal, departed from the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT) at 15:30 under the agency of Ocean Services.
On the berthing side, several ships commenced operations during the day. The container vessel M.V-XIN LIAN CHANG returned and berthed at QT2-II at 09:00 hours under the agency of AP Line Pakistan. M.T-SOUTHERN WOLF, carrying 18,800 metric tons of palm oil, berthed at LCT at 12:30. Another tanker, M.T-YASHAR, with a cargo of 2,169 metric tons of LPG, also began shipping operations at EVTL at 12:30.
Heavy bulk cargo vessels included M.V-AFRICAN KITE, which berthed at PIBT at 17:30 carrying 58,500 metric tons of pet coke under the agency of International Shipping & Ports. Additionally, M.V-KEDROS docked at FAP at 18:30 with a manifest of 59,366 metric tons of soybean seed, managed by Al-Pine Marine.
Port Qasim, located strategically near Karachi, continues to serve as a vital gateway for Pakistan’s trade and import/export activities. The seamless flow of maritime traffic, timely berthing schedules, and rapid cargo handling reflect the port’s commitment to maintaining high standards in daily shipping operations.
