Karachi, June 17, 2025 – Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping operations report for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, providing a detailed update on vessel movements and logistics activities at one of Pakistan’s busiest ports. The report was issued at 0800 hours, covering all shipping operations carried out over the past 24 hours.
According to the report, multiple vessels were actively involved in port operations, including berthing, sailing, and cargo handling. The movement of ships reflects the smooth functioning of logistics and maritime services, crucial to supporting both imports and exports across the country.
Among the notable departures, M.T-HORIZON 1 departed carrying a consignment of LPG, while M.V-ROYAL GALAXY sailed after completing the loading of 27,072 metric tons of rice. In addition, the container vessel M.V-ELENI T also completed its operations and departed from the terminal.
Berthing operations remained steady as well. M.T-SC OCEAN LXI berthed at the FOTCO terminal with a massive cargo of 47,200 metric tons of high sulphur fuel oil (H.S.F.O), marking one of the day’s significant shipping operations. Other vessels such as M.V-GFS PRIME and M.V-OBSESSION were also berthed during the reporting period, contributing to the port’s dynamic daily shipping cycle.
Port Qasim, being a vital maritime hub for Pakistan’s external trade, continues to handle a diverse range of cargoes including petroleum products, rice, and containerized goods. These operations are essential to maintaining the flow of goods to and from the country, ensuring that industries and consumers are adequately supplied.
The Port Qasim Authority continues to play a critical role in coordinating shipping schedules, managing berths, and ensuring the seamless operation of port activities. Effective port management is key to minimizing delays, reducing demurrage costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of national shipping infrastructure.
As shipping operations at Port Qasim progress efficiently, the port remains a central component of Pakistan’s trade and logistics network. Regular updates like these help stakeholders monitor cargo movement, plan inland transport, and optimize supply chain operations.
