Karachi, May 14, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping operations report for Wednesday, May 14, 2025, providing crucial updates on vessel movements and ongoing port activities.
This report is vital for traders, shipping companies, and logistics stakeholders to plan and coordinate their operations efficiently.
The shipping operations at Port Qasim were updated at 0800 hours, covering vessel arrivals, departures, and berthing activities over the past 24 hours. These regular updates ensure transparency and smooth functioning of maritime traffic within the port’s jurisdiction.
In terms of vessel departures, the container vessel M.V. VALENCE (PQA Reg No. 35817) successfully completed its operations and set sail from the port. With an overall length of 221.70 meters and a draft of 11.40 meters aft and 9.40 meters forward, the ship departed at 13:00 hours under the agency of COSCO SAEED. It had completed its container handling at berth QT2-I.
Regarding berthing operations, three vessels were moored at the port for unloading and cargo handling. The LNG carrier M.T. LUSAIL (PQA Reg No. 35820), measuring 283 meters in length and carrying 140,912 metric tons of liquefied natural gas, was berthed at PGPCL terminal at 11:00 hours under the agency of GSA (PVT) Ltd.
The chemical tanker M.T. GINGA OCELOT (PQA Reg No. 35822), carrying 24,500 metric tons of phosphoric acid, was berthed at 12:00 hours at EVTL terminal. The vessel, handled by AL-PINE MARINE, measured 159.03 meters in length and had a draft of 10.70 meters.
Additionally, the bulk carrier M.V. GLORIA (PQA Reg No. 35819), loaded with 69,832 metric tons of soybean seed, was berthed at PIBT terminal at 13:30 hours. This vessel’s shipping agent, EASTWIND SHIPPING, facilitated the operations.
