Karachi, February 22, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released an update on the shipping operations for Saturday, February 22, 2025, to keep stakeholders informed about vessel movements and cargo handling at the port.
The latest shipping report was issued at 0800 hours, detailing the activities of the past 24 hours at Port Qasim.
According to Port Qasim authorities, several vessels have been actively engaged in both berthing and sailing operations, ensuring the smooth flow of trade and logistics. The shipping activity at Port Qasim remains crucial for handling essential imports and exports, including rice, general cargo, containers, and cement.
Sailing of Vessels
Port Qasim has facilitated the departure of multiple vessels on Saturday. Among them, M.V. SIBI set sail at 14:30, carrying 26,313 metric tons of rice under the supervision of Universal Shipping at M/W-II. M.V. DA CUI YUN followed shortly at 15:00, transporting 2,093 metric tons of project cargo through COSCO SAEED at M/W-I. Additionally, M.V. XPRESS KOHIMA departed from QT2-I at 15:30.
Berthing of Vessels
In terms of incoming vessels, M.V. MSC POSITANO berthed at QICT-VII at 09:00, handling containerized cargo with an aft and forward draft of 12.20 meters. M.V. XPRESS KOHIMA secured its position at QT2-I at 09:15, also designated for container operations. M.T. DOHA, a large vessel with a length of 297.50 meters, docked at EETL by 15:00, followed by M.V. GSL ELIZABETH at QT2-II at 16:00. Meanwhile, M.V. MARIAM, carrying 26,250 metric tons of rice, berthed at M/W-II by 18:00, and M.V. SSI VICTORY, laden with 38,450 metric tons of cement, arrived at M/W-I at 18:30.
