Karachi, January 26, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released the latest update on shipping operations for Sunday, January 26, 2025. The operations, recorded over the last 24 hours at 0800 hours, aim to ensure smooth facilitation for stakeholders and maintain the efficiency of Port Qasim’s logistics network.

During this period, several vessels carried out sailing operations from Port Qasim. Among these was the M.V. XPRESS KOHIMA, which departed from berth QT2-II at 14:30 hours. The M.T. CHEMROAD JUPITEER, loaded with 9,448 metric tons of phosphoric acid, sailed from berth EVTL at 15:00 hours. Similarly, the M.T. BENTLEY I, carrying 18,839 metric tons of palm oil, departed from M/W-I at 15:30 hours. The M.T. MERBA BU also completed its operations, transporting 54,500 metric tons of high-sulfur fuel oil (HSFO) from FOTCO.

Berthing operations at Port Qasim were equally active. The M.V. XPRESS KOHIMA returned to berth QT2-II at 09:00 hours to handle containerized cargo. The M.T. GALL, loaded with 26,450 metric tons of palm oil, berthed at M/W-I at 18:30 hours. Additionally, the M.T. START, with 25,915 metric tons of gasoline, docked at FOTCO at 19:00 hours. These vessels highlight the port’s capacity to handle diverse commodities, including palm oil, gasoline, and phosphoric acid.

Port Qasim plays a pivotal role in Pakistan’s maritime trade, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure ensuring seamless operations.
