Shipping operations continue smoothly at PQA – July 3, 2025

Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, July 3, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily update on shipping operations, providing a comprehensive snapshot of vessel movements and cargo handling activity over the past 24 hours.

The report, updated at 0800 hours, outlines the status of both arriving and departing vessels, reflecting the port’s vital role in Pakistan’s maritime trade. As one of the country’s key deep-sea ports, PQA remains at the heart of shipping logistics and continues to support uninterrupted operations despite seasonal weather fluctuations and increased cargo volumes.

During the latest operations window, three vessels successfully sailed out from PQA after completing their respective loading and unloading procedures. These included M.V. HANSA AFRICA carrying containers, M.T. AMIR GAS with a load of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and M.T. ROSE M loaded with a significant volume of motor gasoline (MOGAS). All departures were executed smoothly, ensuring timely fulfillment of cargo schedules and minimal port congestion.

In terms of berthing, the port welcomed four major vessels, each carrying critical commodities for Pakistan’s industrial and energy sectors. M.V. AMERICA GRAECA and M.V. SWAN docked to discharge large consignments of coal, supporting the country’s energy and manufacturing sectors. Meanwhile, M.T. AL DAAYEN arrived with a substantial load of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and M.T. BLUE BIRD brought in gasolene to meet fuel demand.

PQA’s shipping operations continue to demonstrate resilience and efficiency, with port management ensuring swift vessel turnaround and secure handling of import cargo. The active coordination between ship agents, terminal operators, and port authorities is pivotal in sustaining seamless shipping operations.

With the regular influx of vessels carrying fuel, energy resources, and industrial raw materials, PQA reaffirms its position as a strategic maritime hub. As global shipping routes remain under pressure, PQA’s consistent performance is crucial for stabilizing supply chains and facilitating economic activity.

In the coming days, PQA is expected to maintain its current momentum, with more scheduled arrivals and departures, reinforcing its reputation for reliable and efficient shipping operations along Pakistan’s southern coastline.
