Authorities impose heavy fines after raiding an illegal juice manufacturing facility in Farsi Bagh II.
The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has intensified its efforts against food adulteration by conducting an operation targeting the production and sale of substandard juice within the jurisdiction of B-Section Police Station.
The raid was carried out under the supervision of Director Food Control Authority Naveed Abbas Zardari along with his enforcement team.
The operation forms part of the authority’s ongoing campaign to ensure food safety standards and protect consumers from harmful products circulating in the market.
During the inspection, officials raided a juice manufacturing unit located in Farsi Bagh II. The team discovered evidence indicating that the facility was allegedly involved in producing and distributing substandard juice products that failed to meet required food quality standards.
Following the inspection, the authorities took immediate action against those responsible. The operators of the facility were penalized heavily, with reports suggesting that fines amounting to nearly Rs. 100,000 were imposed for violations of food safety regulations.
Officials from the Sindh Food Authority reiterated their commitment to eliminating adulterated and unsafe food products from the market.
They emphasized that strict monitoring and enforcement measures would continue across the province to ensure that consumers have access to safe and hygienic food items.
Food safety experts have frequently warned that the consumption of low-quality and adulterated beverages can pose serious health risks, including foodborne illnesses and long-term health complications.
Such enforcement actions are therefore considered essential in maintaining public health standards and deterring illegal food manufacturing practices.
The Sindh Food Authority urged manufacturers and retailers to comply fully with food safety laws, warning that strict legal action will be taken against violators.
The authority reaffirmed that similar operations will continue in different areas to safeguard the health and well-being of citizens across Sindh.
