Karachi, August 28, 2025 – The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has officially launched a dedicated online portal for the registration and payment of agricultural income tax, aiming to simplify tax compliance for farmers and landowners across Sindh.
According to an official statement, the portal has been designed to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience for taxpayers. It allows individuals earning agricultural income to register using a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and an active mobile number. Once registered, taxpayers can make payments conveniently via banking apps, designated ATMs, or over-the-counter services, eliminating the need for in-person visits to SRB offices.
The SRB emphasized that the new system is part of a broader initiative to modernize tax collection and improve digital infrastructure in Sindh. Informational materials, guidelines, and FAQs have been made available on the SRB website to assist users in navigating the new platform and ensuring timely submission of agricultural income tax returns.
Officials noted that this step would not only facilitate compliance but also contribute to enhancing transparency and efficiency within the provincial tax framework. By embracing digital solutions, Sindh aims to encourage greater participation from taxpayers and expand its revenue base from the agricultural sector, which remains a vital part of the province’s economy.
