Defending champion Yannick Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic continue their title charge with impressive victories at Wimbledon.

Defending champion Yannick Sinner and tennis legend Novak Djokovic booked their places in the Wimbledon 2026 quarterfinals after delivering commanding performances in the fourth round of the prestigious Grand Slam tournament in London.

Italian star Sinner continued his impressive title defense by overcoming Japan’s Shintaro Mochizuki in straight sets. Despite facing resistance from his opponent, the world-class player maintained control during crucial moments to secure a 6-3, 7-6(3), 6-3 victory and move into the last eight of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Serbian great Novak Djokovic moved another step closer to a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam singles title with a hard-fought victory over Russia’s Roman Sevelin. The 24-time Grand Slam champion recovered after dropping the opening set to seal a four-set win with a scoreline of 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.

Djokovic displayed his trademark resilience and experience throughout the contest, gradually taking control of the match to secure another quarterfinal appearance at the All England Club. The Serbian remains among the leading favourites for the Wimbledon title as he pursues another historic milestone in his legendary career.

Elsewhere in the round of 16, Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff advanced after an intense five-set battle against Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz. Struff staged an impressive comeback after losing the opening two sets before forcing a deciding set. With the German leading 4-2 in the fifth set, Hurkacz was forced to retire because of an injury, sending Struff into the quarterfinals.

Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime also secured his place in the last eight after edging Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a marathon five-set encounter. The Canadian emerged victorious 7-6, 6-7, 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 following a thrilling contest that showcased both players’ resilience.
