Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, October 17, 2025 – Defending champion Jannik Sinner advanced to the final of the 2025 Six Kings Slam exhibition tennis tournament after defeating Serbian legend Novak Djokovic in straight sets on Thursday night.
The 24-year-old Italian secured a 6-4, 6-2 victory over the 38-year-old Djokovic, showcasing powerful baseline play and relentless energy. Sinner broke Djokovic’s serve early in the first set and maintained control to take the lead. In the second set, Djokovic struggled to keep pace during extended rallies, allowing Sinner to dominate and seal the win comfortably.
After the match, Djokovic humorously told the crowd, “I’m sorry you couldn’t see a longer match today. It’s his fault, not mine,” adding that Sinner was “too good tonight” and deserved his spot in the final.
For the second consecutive year, Sinner will face Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the Six Kings Slam final. In the other semifinal, world No. 1 Alcaraz cruised past Taylor Fritz of the United States, 6-4, 6-2, breaking his opponent’s serve three times and saving both break points faced.
The much-anticipated Sinner vs. Alcaraz final will take place on Saturday, marking their first encounter since the US Open 2025 final, where Alcaraz triumphed to win his sixth Grand Slam and reclaim the world No. 1 ranking.
Djokovic and Fritz will compete for third place on the same day. The Six Kings Slam, launched in 2024 under the Riyadh Season banner, features six of the world’s top male tennis stars annually.
