SITE industrialists honor Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed, propose martyrs’ support fund

Karachi, February 28, 2026: The SITE Association of Industry (SAI) recently held a solemn gathering to pay tribute to Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed, who laid down his life while combating the Indian proxy group, Khwarij, in Bannu District. Industrialists and business leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Pakistan Armed Forces and ensuring that the sacrifices of martyrs are never forgotten.

Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz, former Wing Commander of 92-Wing Rangers, was renowned for his courage and leadership, commanding operations directly from the frontline. His unwavering dedication to Pakistan’s security left a lasting impact on both the military and local communities in the SITE area.

The condolence meeting at SAI was attended by senior officers and prominent industrialists, including Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz of 63-Wing Rangers, SAI Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala, President Abdul Rehman Fudda, and several executive committee members.

During the ceremony, Zubair Motiwala proposed the creation of a special fund for the families of martyrs, urging the business community to contribute and support those who have sacrificed their lives in service of the nation. He highlighted the importance of honoring the Armed Forces for protecting Pakistan’s territorial integrity, noting that a strong military is vital for the survival of any country.

President Abdul Rehman Fudda emphasized Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed’s exceptional service in SITE, noting that the defense of Pakistan occurs on multiple fronts, including the economic front, where industrialists act as the backbone of the nation’s prosperity.

Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz praised the industrial community for their respect and ongoing support of the Armed Forces. He shared that Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz had been deployed in a highly challenging post, where he upheld rigorous security standards until his martyrdom.

Abdul Hadi, Chairman of the Law and Order Committee, highlighted the late officer’s quick decision-making and leadership, citing a case where extortion was resolved within 72 hours under his command. He prayed for the continuation of ‘Jazba-e-Shahadat’ in Pakistan’s armed forces and for the Almighty to accept the sacrifices of all martyrs.

The SAI meeting reinforced the nationwide respect for Pakistan’s martyrs, while calling upon the business community to actively support the families of those who have given their lives in service of the country.
