Islamabad, January 25, 2026 — The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert warning that heavy snowfall could trigger road blockages and hazardous travel conditions across multiple regions of Pakistan from January 26 to January 27.
According to PMD, the expected snowfall may lead to road closures, slippery highways, and reduced visibility, particularly in mountainous and northern areas. Authorities have urged residents and tourists to remain cautious during the forecast period.

Heavy snowfall is expected to impact the following regions:
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad
• Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore, Hunza, Skardu
• Punjab: Murree, Galliyat
• Azad Kashmir: Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, Haveli
