Karachi, January 1, 2026 – The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has achieved a 21 percent increase in the collection of sales tax on services during the first half (July–December) of fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting strong revenue performance and improved tax administration.
According to an official statement issued on Thursday, the SRB collected Rs161.43 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year, compared with Rs133.27 billion during the same period last year.
The growth momentum continued in December 2025, when the provincial revenue authority collected Rs34 billion, up from Rs27.15 billion in December 2024. This represents a 25 percent year-on-year increase for the month.
The Sindh Revenue Board credited the sustained rise in revenue to the hard work and dedication of its workforce, continued support from the Government of Sindh, and the trust and cooperation of taxpayers across the province.
Looking ahead, the SRB reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining revenue growth throughout FY2025-26 by addressing new challenges, including the collection of Agricultural Income Tax and the implementation of the Negative List Tariff regime.
The board also emphasized ongoing tax reforms, improvements in tax administration, stronger enforcement mechanisms, and expanded use of technology to enhance transparency, efficiency, and taxpayer facilitation.
