Karachi, June 5, 2025 – The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has officially announced an uninterrupted gas supply plan for domestic and commercial consumers across Sindh and Balochistan during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha holidays, providing much-needed relief amid increased cooking and hospitality needs.

In a press release, SSGC extended early Eid greetings to the nation and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and stable gas supply for all customers during the three sacred days of Eid-ul-Adha, a time when families gather to celebrate and perform traditional feasts.

SSGC confirmed that its regular gas load management schedule will be temporarily suspended to accommodate the increased demand expected during Eid. The revised gas supply timetable is as follows:

• Friday, June 6: Gas supply will be suspended from midnight to facilitate pipeline balancing.

• Saturday, June 7 (Eid Day 1): Full gas supply will resume at 5:00 a.m. and continue without interruption throughout the day.

• Sunday, June 8 (Eid Day 2): Continuous supply will be maintained for all consumers.

• Monday, June 9 (Eid Day 3): Round-the-clock gas service will remain in effect until midnight.

• Tuesday, June 10: Regular load management will be reinstated.

Salman Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Communications and official spokesperson for SSGC, stated, “Our teams are on standby to ensure there are no disruptions during Eid. We understand the importance of this holiday for our customers and are committed to providing seamless service.”

The announcement comes as households across Pakistan prepare for Eid-ul-Adha, which will be observed on Saturday, June 7, following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon on Thursday, May 29. The decision by SSGC is expected to alleviate concerns over energy shortages during festive cooking and gatherings.

By proactively managing supply, SSGC aims to ensure that the spirit of Eid is celebrated without inconvenience, upholding its service promise to the public during this significant religious occasion.
