Sylvester Stallone is reportedly in negotiations to continue his role in Tulsa King, the popular Paramount+ series where he portrays Dwight “The General” Manfredi. According to a report by Variety on Wednesday, November 20, the actor is close to finalizing a deal that would see him return for at least two more seasons, specifically seasons 3 and 4.
Sources have confirmed that the new agreement is expected to secure a two-season pickup for the show, though it is important to note that Tulsa King has not yet been officially renewed for future seasons. This means that while Stallone’s involvement appears likely, the show’s official renewal is still pending.
Tulsa King centers on Stallone’s character, Dwight Manfredi, a seasoned New York mafia capo who is released from prison after serving 25 years. However, instead of being welcomed back into his mob family, Dwight is exiled by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The character soon begins to suspect that his old mafia family may no longer have his best interests at heart. As a result, Dwight starts building a new crew from a diverse group of individuals, hoping to establish his own criminal empire in the unfamiliar world of Tulsa.
Alongside Stallone, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, the show boasts a strong ensemble cast including Andrea, Annabella Sciorra, Dana Delany, Garrett Hedlund, Jay Will, Max Casella, Martin Starr, and Vincent Piazza. The second season of the show saw the addition of Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo to the cast, further expanding the roster of talent.
Stallone’s involvement in Tulsa King has been widely praised, with his portrayal of the grizzled mob boss Dwight resonating with audiences. If the deal is finalized, the actor will continue to lead the series for at least two more seasons, giving fans much to look forward to in the ongoing saga of Dwight’s life in Tulsa.
