T20 World Cup 2024: New York to Host Epic Pakistan vs India Clash

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 promises thrilling cricket action as the United States and the West Indies take center stage as co-hosts for this prestigious tournament, featuring 20 teams vying for glory.

The tournament’s excitement kicks off with a group stage, where the teams will be divided into four groups, each comprising five teams.

The top two teams from each group will earn their ticket to the Super 8 round, where they will compete in two groups of four.

The semi-finals will feature a showdown between the top two teams from each Super 8 group, setting the stage for the ultimate championship battle.

Cricket enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly anticipating the renewal of one of the sport’s most iconic rivalries: Pakistan vs. India, scheduled to captivate fans in the T20 World Cup 2024.

As cricket aficionados eagerly await the venue announcement for this historic clash, sources indicate that preparations are underway near Long Island, just 30 miles east of bustling Manhattan, in the scenic Eisenhower Park, New York.

The official confirmation will follow once negotiations between the ICC and New York City authorities conclude.

Initially, the ICC had plans to establish the stadium in the Bronx. However, due to substantial opposition from local residents and a cricket league utilizing the same park, the ICC altered its course.

It is worth recalling the memorable encounters between Pakistan and India in recent ICC events. In the 2022 T20 World Cup at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, Virat Kohli’s outstanding innings led the Blues to victory.

Prior to that, in the 2021 T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan, led by the exceptional Babar Azam, secured their first-ever ICC event victory against India with a breathtaking ten-wicket triumph.
