Bank holiday on December 25
KARACHI: Banks will remain closed on December 25, 2022 on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
In a statement issued on Friday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that it will remain closed on December 25, 2022 (Sunday) being public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.

Bank holiday restored on November 09, 2022
KARACH: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday announced bank holiday on November 09, 2022.
Therefore all commercial banks and financial institutions will remain closed on November 09, 2022 on the occasion of Iqbal Day.
Earlier the federal government issued a circular restoring the holiday on occasion of Iqbal Day.
In continuation of Cabinet Division’s circular No. 10-01/2021-Min-II dated December 17, 2021, it is for information that the Prime Minister is pleased to restore the public holiday on occasion of Allama Iqbal Day i.e. November 9, 2022. Therefore, Wednesday November 09, 2022 shall be observed as public holiday throughout the country.

Bank holiday announced on October 9, 2022
KARACHI: Banks shall remain closed on October 9, 2022 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam).
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday in a communication with the president and chief executives of all banks, development financial institutions and microfinance banks that the central bank will remain closed on Sunday, October 9, 2022 (i.e. 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, 1444 A.H.) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam).

Pakistan banks to remain closed on July 01, 2022
KARACHI: Pakistan banks will observe holiday on July 01, 2022 for financial close, a statement said on Wednesday.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued a circular in this regard addressing the president and chief executives of all banks, development financial institutions and microfinance banks.

The central bank said it will remain closed for public dealing on Friday, July 1, 2022 which shall be observed as Bank Holiday enabling the Bank to close its accounts.

All banks / Development Financial Institutions (FDIs) / Microfinance Banks (MFBs) shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date.
However, employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual.

Banks to remain closed during May 2 – 5, 2022
KARACHI: All banks and financial institute will remain closed during holidays announced by federal government for Eid-ul-Fitr.
A statement of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that it will remain closed from May 02 to May 05, 2022 (Monday to Thursday) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The SBP also informed about the holidays to the presidents and chief executives of all banks and microfinance banks (MFBs).

Meanwhile, the SBP clarified that all banks and their branches shall remain open on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in line with SBP’s instructions embodied in BPRD Circular Letter No. 11 of April 13, 2022.
In the wake of public holidays announced by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr from 2nd to 5th May, 2022, the general public is encouraged to undertake their banking transactions on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Further, banks have also been advised to ensure 24/7 availability of Alternate Delivery Channels (ADCs) such as ATMs, Mobile Banking and Internet Banking etc. during these Eid holidays.

Bank holiday declared for Zakat deduction
KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday declared bank holiday on Monday April 04, 2022 for deduction of Zakat.
In a statement, the central bank said it will remain closed for public dealing on Monday, April 4, 2022, which shall be observed as “Bank Holiday” for the purpose of deduction of Zakat.

All banks / development financial institutions (DFIs) / Microfinance Banks (MFBs) shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the afore-mentioned date.
However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).

SBP announces bank holiday
KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday announced that offices of the central bank will remain closed on March 23, 2022.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on March 23, 2022 (Wednesday) being public holiday on the occasion of “Pakistan Day” as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the SBP said.
Through a circular, the SBP informed about the public holiday to presidents and chief executives of all banks, development financial institutions and microfinance banks.
The commercial banks and other financial institutions will also observe the public holiday.
