    FBR notifies transfers, postings of Customs officers in BS-17-19

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday notified transfers and postings of customs officers of BS-17-19 with immediate effect and until further orders.

    The FBR notified transfers and postings of following officers:

    01. Ghulam Nabi Kamboh (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) on joining FBR (HQ), Islamabad has been posted as Additional Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Multan.

    02. Jamshed Ali Talpur (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-18) on return from MCMC has been posted as Secretary (OPS), FATF Cell, Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad.

    03. Muhammad Akbar Jan Gandapur (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Deputy Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Quetta from the post of Deputy Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Karachi.

    04. Hameer Khan (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Quetta from the post of Assistant Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Karachi.

    05. Syeda Sidra Munawar Kazmi (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Collector (Prob), Model Customs Collectorate (AIIA), Lahore from the post of Assistant Collector (Prob), Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Lahore.

    The FBR said that the officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting.

    FBR transfers 78 IRS officers in major reshuffle

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday announced major reshuffle in Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and transferred 78 officials of BS-17 to BS-20 with immediate effect and until further orders.

    The FBR announced transfers and postings of following IRS officers:

    01. Sahibzada Abdul Mateen (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-IV) Large Taxpayers Unit-II, Karachi from the post of Commissioner, (IP/TFD/HRM) Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi.

    02. Zahoor Ahmad Panwar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (IP/TFD) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Karachi from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-IV) Large Taxpayers Unit-II, Karachi.

    03. Muhammad Farrukh Majid (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (HRM) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Commissioner, Inland Revenue (Appeals), Multan.

    IRS cadre strength increases to 1,254

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is working with 1,254 officers of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) of BS-17 to BS-22, according to a notification issued on Wednesday.

    The FBR said that consequent upon the approval of the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the creation of additional posts in Inland Revenue Service conveyed vide letter dated June 29, 2019, cadre strength of IRS under administrative control of FBR with effect from June 29, 2019 will be as under:

    BS-22: 05

    BS-21: 51

    BS-20: 177

    BS-19: 256

    BS-18: 383

    BS-17: 382

    The prime minister approved creation of 25 additional posts in IRS including BS-21 07, BS21 07, BS-19 01, BS-18 06 and BS-17 04.

    The FBR also sent a communication to Accountant General of Pakistan for arranging financial expenditures for such posts.

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday notified promotions of Superintendents, Principal Appraiser, and Superintendent Preventive of Customs Department are promoted to the post of Assistant Collector (BS-17) in Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) with immediate effect and until further orders.

    The FBR said that on their promotion the existing posts of Superintendent/ Principal Appraiser/ Superintendent Preventive held by them are up-graded to BS-17 as personal to them till their posting against regular posts of Assistant Collector.

    Their promotion will take effect from the date of their charge assumption.

    The FBR further said that they will be on probation for a period of one year, extendable for further period, not exceeding one year, provided that if no order is issued by the day following the termination of probationary period, the appointment shall deem to be held until further order.

    The officers already drawing Performance Allowance equal to 100 percent of basic pay will continue to draw it on their promotion.
