KARACHI: The Pak Rupee made a gain of 85 paisas against the dollar on Thursday owing to sufficient supply of export receipts and workers’ remittances.

The rupee ended at Rs157.68 to the dollar from the previous day’s closing of Rs158.53 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency experts said that the market had sufficient supply of the foreign currency that helped the rupee to make gain.

The rupee witnessed a continuous decline against the dollar during this week owing to demand for import and corporate payments.

KARACHI: The Pakistani Rupee experienced a decline of 34 paisas against the US Dollar on Wednesday, closing at Rs158.53 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

The rupee ended Rs158.19 to the dollar from the previous day’s close of Rs157.51 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency experts said that due to year-end demand for dollars remained high. They said that corporate buyers were seen busy buying dollars for sending profit and dividends to their parent companies in various destinations of the world.

They said that due to ease in corona restrictions the economic activities had increased that also resulted in a surge of demand for dollars for import payments.

In Karachi, the Pakistani Rupee witnessed a depreciation of 62 paisas against the US Dollar on Monday, primarily attributed to heightened demand for imports and corporate payments.

The Pakistani Rupee faced a depreciation of 15 paisas against the US Dollar on Friday, closing at Rs156.89 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee on Thursday gained 22 paisas against the dollar owing to substantial inflows witnessed during the day.

The rupee ended Rs156.74 to the dollar from previous day’s closing of Rs156.96 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency experts said that the market witnessed inflows of workers’ remittances and export receipts, which helped the rupee to make gain.

They said that the dollar demand for import and corporate payments was remained high during the day.

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee fell by 17 paisas against the dollar on Wednesday as demand remained high for import and corporate payments.

The rupee ended Rs156.96 to the dollar from previous day’s closing of Rs156.79 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

The dollar in interbank appreciated by Rs4.68 since May 07, 2021. The dollar was at Rs152.28 in the interbank foreign exchange market on May 07, 2021.

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee fell by 60 paisas against the dollar on Tuesday owing to high for import and corporate payments.

The rupee ended Rs156.79 to the dollar from previous day’s closing of Rs156.19 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency dealers said that the due to import and corporate payments the rupee was remained under pressure.

They said that the demand for dollar was increased as multinational companies and foreign companies operating in Pakistan repatriate their profit and dividends by end of fiscal year.

The Pakistani Rupee witnessed a depreciation of 45 paisas against the US Dollar on Monday, closing at Rs156.19 compared to last Friday’s closing rate of Rs155.74 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee appreciated by 18 paisas against the dollar on Friday ahead of budget announcement and hope of incentives to foreign trade.

The rupee closed at Rs155.74 to the dollar from the last day’s closing of Rs155.92 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency experts said that market had anticipated incentives in the budget announcement, which is being presented today.

They hoped that the rupee may make further gains in coming days owing to record inflows of workers’ remittances and rising foreign exchange reserves.
