Rupee ends 4-day losing streak against dollar
KARACHI: The Pak Rupee (PKR) ended four-day losing streak against the dollar on Friday and recovered 27 paisas in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The rupee ended Rs186.70 to the dollar from the previous day’s closing of Rs186.97 in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency analysts said that inflows of remittances related to Eid festival helped the rupee to make recovery against the dollar.
Further, foreign exchange reserves after many weeks showed a slight increase has also helped the rupee to make gains.

The rupee witnessed a continuous decline against the dollar during April 18 to April 21. The depreciation in local currency may be attributed to a significant fall in foreign exchange reserves.

Rupee depreciates by 19 paisas against dollar
KARACHI: The Pak Rupee depreciated by 19 paisas against the dollar on Tuesday owing to higher demand for import payments, dealers said.
The rupee ended at Rs158.37 to the dollar from the previous day’s closing of Rs158.18 in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The dealers said that payment demand for import had witnessed an increase as economic activities had gained momentum.
The dealers said that the rupee may rebound in the coming days owing to substantial inflows of export receipts and workers remittances.

Rupee makes 62 paisas recovery against dollar
KARACHI: The Pak Rupee made a recovery of 62 paisas against the dollar on Wednesday after depreciating the value for seven consecutive trading sessions.
The rupee ended Rs153.88 to the dollar from previous day’s closing of Rs154.50 in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The latest recovery in the local unit was seen after a continuous fall for seven consecutive days.
The rupee has started falling against the dollar from mid of the current month. The rupee has been weakened by Rs1.68 against the dollar during last seven trading days between April 27, 2021 and April 15, 2021.

Rupee weakens by five paisas against dollar
The Pakistani Rupee faced a slight depreciation of five paisas against the US Dollar on Wednesday, attributed to increased demand for import and corporate payments.
