The operation was carried out by the Collectorate of Customs (Airports), Karachi, through its vigilant Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU), highlighting intensified surveillance at international cargo terminals.

Gadani Customs seizes smuggled betel nuts worth Rs252.2 million
Karachi, December 31, 2025 — In a major intelligence-based anti-smuggling operation, Gadani Customs Enforcement Collectorate, with support from the Frontier Corps (FC) and local police, seized 30.5 metric tons of smuggled betel nuts of foreign origin along with four passenger buses near Ashok Pump, District Hub. The total estimated value of the seized goods and vehicles amounts to Rs252.5 million.

Pakistan customs seizes $132 million worth of contraband near Gadani
Karachi, December 13, 2025 — Pakistan Customs, in coordination with the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), has thwarted a major smuggling operation near Gadani, Balochistan, resulting in the confiscation of contraband valued at approximately $132 million, equivalent to around Rs37 billion in the international market.
