    Bashirullah Khan given anti-benami initiative charge

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday assigned additional charge of Director General Anti-Benami Initiative to Dr. Bashirullah Khan, a BS-21 officer of Inland Revenue Service (IRS).

    The FBR notified posting and transfers of following officers of IRS:

    01. Dr. Bashirullah Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) who is currently posted as Chief Commissioner-IR, Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi has been assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General, Anti-Benami Initiative, Islamabad in addition to his own duties, relieving Asim Ahmed (IRS/BS-21) presently posted as DG, I&I-IR, Islamabad.

    02. Hassan Zulfiqar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue Inland Revenue (Appeals-I), Islamabad from the post of Commissioner-IR, Benami Zone-I, Islamabad.

    03. Khalid Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-V) Regional Tax Office II, Lahore from the post of Commissioner-IR, Benami Zone-II, Lahore.

    04. Muhammad Faisal Mushtaq Dar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue Benami Zone-I, Islamabad from the post of Commissioner-IR, Inland Revenue (Appeals-I), Islamabad.

    05. Amir Abbas Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (OPS) Benami Zone-II, Lahore from the post of Commissioner-IR, (OPS) (West Zone) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad

    The FBR said that the officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting.

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday notified transfers and postings of 37 Commissioners of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) in BS-19-20 with immediate effect under further orders.

    Following officers have been transferred and posted by the FBR:

    01. Dr. Shahid Siddiq Bhatti (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Lahore from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-VII) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore.

    02. Mehmood Hussain Jafari (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-VII) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Director, Directorate of Law, Lahore.

    FBR redeploys 1,650 customs officials to curb smuggling

    ISLAMABAD: The Customs Wing has re-deployed and transferred 1,650 official positions to meet the challenging revenue target and particularly to control smuggling.

    A statement said that in this context, a total of 180 posts in BS-16 have been re-designated while 1,568 posts in BS-16 have been redeployed across Pakistan. This shake up has not been kept limited to low grade positions but also 84 posts in BS-17 to BS-21 have also been re-deployed.

    The bulk of the re-deployed customs officers have been shifted to strengthen the Customs enforcement side.

    The transfer and posting orders have been issued. As a consequence of this re-deployment the Torkham corridor will become operational round the clock. The orders will enable the government to meet the demand from trade and industry to curb smuggling.

    Customs automation efforts have lately been enabling it to handle more trade efficiently and reduce its reliance on human interface. Under Prime Minister’s instructions the Chairman Syed Shabbar Zaidi has instructed Customs to improve ease of doing business by expediting initiatives like implementation of WeBOC-Glo, ITTMS and trade related Pakistan Single Window.

    FBR imposes ban on transfers and postings

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday imposed ban on postings and transfers with immediate effect till June 30, 2019.

    The FBR said that the revenue collection had entered the last quarter of the current fiscal year and preparation of federal budget for the year 2019/2020 was in full swing.

    Therefore, it has been decided that no further transfer/posting of officers/officials in the field formation of FBR would be made till June 30, 2019.

    The FBR further said that in the cases of hardship or of extreme necessity, the concerned heads of the field formations would be requested to seek board’s prior approval for such transfers/postings.

    The notification has been sent to all heads of field formations of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service.

    FBR notifies transfers, postings of key IRS posts

    ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday notified transfers and postings of key posts in Inland Revenue Service (IRS) with immediate effect.

    The FBR transferred and posted Zulfiqar Hussain Khan (IRS/BS-20) as the Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad from the post of Chief (L&C) FBR, Islamabad.

    The FBR also transferred and posted Mir Badshah Khan Wazir (IRS/BS-20) as Director General (OPS) Broadening of Tax Base (BTB) FBR HQ Islamabad.

    The officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting, the FBR said.
