Karachi, September 27, 2024 – The interbank foreign exchange market began trading on Friday with a notable 19-paisa gain in the value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, driven by optimism following the approval of a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The rupee appreciated to PKR 277.50 from the previous day’s close of PKR 277.69 per US dollar.

Karachi, September 25, 2024 – The Pakistani rupee experienced a slight decline of 5 paisas against the US dollar on Wednesday, closing at PKR 277.85 in the interbank foreign exchange market, compared to the previous day’s PKR 277.80. The drop was attributed to a surge in demand for import payments, as importers rushed to place orders with foreign suppliers ahead of the quarter’s end.

Karachi, September 24, 2024 – The Pakistani rupee saw a modest recovery in the interbank foreign exchange market on Tuesday, appreciating by 7 paisas against the US dollar. At the close of trading, the rupee was valued at PKR 277.80 per dollar, compared to the previous day’s closing rate of PKR 277.87.

Karachi, September 23, 2024 – The Pakistani rupee experienced a minor dip on Monday, closing at PKR 277.87 against the US dollar in the interbank market, slipping by just 3 paisas from last Friday’s rate of PKR 277.84.
