Taylor Swift performs four songs at the Academy Museum Gala, drawing attention to her potential Oscar prospects for I Knew It, I Knew You from Toy Story 5.

Taylor Swift has made her first full-band performance since the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras Tour, taking the stage at the Academy Museum Gala for a four-song set.

The singer performed Blank Space, The Fate of Ophelia, I Knew It, I Knew You and Love Story at the sixth annual gala, an event that celebrates cinema and supports the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Swift’s appearance has also fuelled speculation about her potential Oscar prospects. According to an earlier report by Variety, her track I Knew It, I Knew You, featured in Toy Story 5, is a strong contender for a nomination in the Best Original Song category.

Her performance at the prestigious event has further drawn attention to the song as the awards season approaches. However, a nomination has yet to be confirmed.

Ahead of the gala, Amy Homma, director and president of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, praised Swift’s global influence and artistic achievements.

“Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world,” Homma said, expressing excitement about welcoming the singer to the event.

The annual Academy Museum Gala raises funds for exhibitions, film screenings, educational programmes and the preservation of cinema history.

Swift’s appearance combined live music with Hollywood’s celebration of filmmaking, while placing her latest cinematic contribution in the spotlight ahead of the Oscars.
