Taylor Swift has once again been crowned the world’s biggest-selling music artist, extending her dominance with a fourth consecutive year at the top and setting yet another remarkable industry record.

The 36-year-old global pop phenomenon has surpassed her own achievements from previous years, leading the annual rankings released by the IFPI for the sixth time overall. Swift previously secured the top position in 2014, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025, solidifying her status as one of the most commercially successful musicians in history.

The IFPI, which represents the worldwide recording industry, compiles global music consumption data across physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming platforms to determine the year’s best-selling artists.

In the 2025 rankings, the 14-time Grammy Award winner topped the chart, followed by Stray Kids, Drake, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga, among others.

Swift’s latest milestone follows the massive success of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, released in October 2025. The album’s lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, dominated global charts for several months, further strengthening her commercial reign.

Her recent release, Opalite, has also made a powerful impact, securing the number-one spot on the UK Singles Chart and breaking into the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100.

With consistent chart-topping releases and record-breaking sales, Swift continues to redefine success in the global music industry.
