Taylor Swift has delighted fans by releasing two additional versions of her latest song, I Knew It, I Knew You, which was created for the highly anticipated Toy Story 5 soundtrack.
The Grammy-winning singer unveiled the new editions just days after the original track debuted, giving Swifties even more content to enjoy ahead of the film’s global release.
The new releases include a Digital Acoustic Version and a Digital Piano Version of the song. Both versions became available on Sunday, June 7, only two days after the original track was launched on June 5.
Initially, these special editions were offered exclusively through collector’s edition CD singles sold on Swift’s official website.
Swift’s latest musical offerings are now available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music. Fans also have the option to purchase the digital versions directly from her website.
The release has generated excitement among fans, many of whom praised the stripped-down arrangements for highlighting the emotional depth of the song.
The track marks another major collaboration between Swift and longtime creative partner Jack Antonoff, who co-wrote and co-produced the song.
Following the song’s release, Swift shared an emotional message on social media about the creative process behind the project.
“Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” Swift wrote. She explained that composing music for the beloved character Jessie presented a unique challenge while also feeling familiar and inspiring.
The singer also revealed her personal connection to the Toy Story franchise, describing herself as a lifelong fan of the animated series.
Swift highlighted the nostalgia that influenced the songwriting process, noting that she and Antonoff created the track out of admiration for the characters that shaped their childhoods.
She said the pair wanted to honor the lessons, humor, and imagination that the Toy Story films have provided audiences over the years.
“Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a Toy Story kid from the age of 5 till now is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond,” Swift wrote in her message to fans.
Toy Story 5 is scheduled to premiere in theaters worldwide on June 19, 2026. Fans have also noted that the release date coincides with the 20th anniversary of Swift’s debut single, Tim McGraw, adding another meaningful milestone to the singer’s career.
With the arrival of two new versions of I Knew It, I Knew You, excitement continues to build for both the film and its soundtrack as audiences count down to the next chapter of the iconic animated franchise.
