Taylor Swift may have skipped the Grammy Awards ceremony this year, but the pop superstar still found time to join the celebrations at a high-profile after party in Los Angeles.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the Eras Tour performer was spotted on February 1 mingling with guests and casually sipping a cocktail at the exclusive post-Grammys event.
For the night out, Swift opted for an understated yet timeless look. She wore a long-sleeved black scoop-neck top, layered gold necklaces, her signature red lipstick, and styled her hair straight and sleek.
Swift’s absence from the Grammy Awards ceremony itself was reportedly due to eligibility rules rather than scheduling conflicts. The singer did not release new music during the recording academy’s eligibility window, which ran from August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025.
Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released on October 3, placing it just outside the qualifying period. As a result, Swift will be eligible for Grammy nominations at the 2027 awards instead.
While Swift did not add to her existing total of 14 Grammy wins this year, she still had plenty to celebrate. Several of her close collaborators, including Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter, received nominations.
Lamar made history at the ceremony by surpassing Jay-Z to become the most decorated rapper in Grammy Awards history after winning Best Rap Album.
Despite skipping the main event, Swift’s appearance at the after party quickly became a highlight online, underscoring her continued influence and presence in pop culture even when she’s not on the awards stage.
