Taylor Swift sparks ‘evermore’ frenzy with subtle wedding Easter egg

Taylor Swift fans are celebrating what they believe is a rare nod to her much-loved album evermore, after the pop superstar appeared to reference the record during a close friend’s wedding.

For years, Swifties have jokingly campaigned for “justice for evermore,” convinced that Taylor Swift has overlooked one of her strongest albums despite its critical acclaim. Now, fans think the 36-year-old global icon has finally acknowledged the 2020 release through a subtle but meaningful Easter egg.

The excitement erupted after Swift attended the wedding of her close friend Este Haim, the eldest member of the band HAIM. For the occasion, the Fate of Ophelia hitmaker wore a shimmering gold dress that fans instantly linked to the evermore era.

Swifties were quick to point out that the glittery bronze-gold gown closely resembled the dresses worn during the evermore-themed segment of Swift’s Eras Tour. The connection felt even more intentional given that the Haim sisters featured on No Body, No Crime, a standout track from the album.

Adding to the nostalgia, the same evermore-inspired dress was worn by Swift during a 2023 Eras Tour show in Seattle, where Este Haim joined her sisters on stage for a live performance of the song.

Known for embedding sentimental references and layered meanings into her fashion choices, Taylor’s outfit choice didn’t seem accidental to fans. As one admirer wrote on X, “This look is giving evermoreeeee,” while another excitedly added, “Welcome back evermore bronze dress!!”

Beyond the album theories, Swift’s bridesmaid appearance has also fuelled fresh excitement among fans, with many now speculating about what the Grammy-winning singer might wear if she walks down the aisle herself in the future.

Whether intentional or not, Taylor Swift’s golden gown has reignited love for evermore, proving once again that even her fashion choices can set the internet alight.
