Karachi, December 16, 2025 — The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA) on Tuesday released the latest gold and silver prices in Pakistan, showing a sharp decline in gold rates while silver prices remained stable compared to the previous trading session.
According to the association, gold prices in the local market fell significantly in line with a downturn in international bullion markets. The price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs4,000 to settle at Rs450,862, compared to the previous day’s close. Similarly, the rate of 24-karat gold per 10 grams decreased by Rs3,429 to Rs386,541.
The price of 22-karat gold per 10 grams also witnessed a notable decline, falling by Rs3,143 to close at Rs354,342. Market analysts said the downward trend reflects reduced global prices, profit-taking by investors, and fluctuations in the international gold market amid ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties.
In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged on Tuesday. The price of 24-karat silver per tola stayed steady at Rs6,532, while silver per 10 grams continued to trade at Rs5,600. International silver prices also showed no change, closing at $62.60 per ounce.
Bullion market experts noted that precious metal prices in Pakistan are closely linked to movements in the global market and fluctuations in the exchange rate. They added that while gold prices have seen a correction after recent highs, volatility is expected to persist due to uncertainty surrounding global trade conditions, inflation outlook, and geopolitical developments.
The APSGJA stated that the daily gold and silver prices are determined based on prevailing interbank foreign exchange rates released by the State Bank of Pakistan, along with international market trends.
