Today’s gold and silver prices in Pakistan: December 23, 2025

gold and silver rates update

Karachi, December 23, 2025 – The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA) on Tuesday released the latest gold and silver prices in Pakistan to facilitate the general public, investors, and bullion traders amid strong volatility in global precious metal markets.

According to the association, gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply, touching near record-high levels in line with a strong rally in international bullion markets. The increase was largely driven by heightened geopolitical tensions, expectations of easing global monetary policy, and a weaker outlook for interest rates, which traditionally supports demand for safe-haven assets such as gold.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs8,500 to Rs470,862, while 24-karat gold per 10 grams increased by Rs7,288 to Rs403,688. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold per 10 grams rose by Rs6,681 to Rs370,060, reflecting strong buying interest in the local market.

On the international front, gold prices jumped by $85 per ounce to $4,485, providing direct upward pressure on domestic prices due to Pakistan’s reliance on global benchmarks and exchange rate movements.

In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged in both local and international markets, indicating relatively stable demand compared to gold. Market participants noted that while gold continues to attract investors as a hedge against uncertainty, silver trading activity has remained subdued.

The association clarified that daily gold and silver rates are determined based on international market prices and prevailing interbank foreign exchange rates released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
