Karachi, February 16, 2026: The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Monday released its daily shipping activity report to facilitate importers, exporters, shipping agents, and other stakeholders involved in maritime trade.

According to the updated report issued at 8:00 AM Pakistan Time (PKT), several vessels sailed, berthed, and shifted at different terminals during the past 24 hours, reflecting steady operational activity at the port.

Sailing of Vessels

Three vessels departed from Port Qasim carrying a range of commodities. M.T Ginga Tiger sailed with a cargo of 24,731 metric tonnes of phosphoric acid, while M.V Sedra departed with 7,600 metric tonnes of steel billets. Meanwhile, container vessel M.V MSC Lily also sailed, marking continued container handling operations at the port.

Berthing of Vessels

On the berthing side, M.V Medway Spirit arrived carrying 30,000 metric tonnes of sand, adding to bulk cargo operations. M.T Galaxy Gas berthed with 3,417 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), underlining the port’s key role in energy imports. In addition, container vessel M.V Seaspan Santos also berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal, boosting container throughput.

Shifting of Vessels

During the same period, M.T Marine Ista, engaged in bunker supply operations, was shifted within the terminal area for operational adjustments. Similarly, M.V Nikolas D, carrying a large consignment of soybean seeds, was repositioned to ensure smooth cargo handling and optimized berth utilization.

Operational Outlook

Port officials stated that vessel movement remained smooth and uninterrupted, supported by efficient cargo handling, terminal coordination, and favorable weather conditions. The consistent shipping activity highlights Port Qasim’s strategic importance in Pakistan’s import-export trade, energy supplies, and industrial raw material flows.
