Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, December 21, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Sunday issued its latest shipping operations report to keep traders, shipping agents, and other stakeholders informed about vessel movements at the port.

According to the authority, the report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers shipping activity recorded over the past 24 hours. The update includes details of vessels that sailed, berthed, and shifted at various terminals of Port Qasim, highlighting ongoing import and export operations.

During the reported period, several vessels sailed from the port carrying or handling key commodities. These included palm oil, coal, and ethylene dichloride (EDC), indicating continued activity in the energy and edible oil supply chains. The departing ships were handled by different shipping agents and operated from terminals such as LCT, PIBT, and EVTL.

On the berthing side, new vessels arrived at Port Qasim to discharge essential imports. Ships carrying palm oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were berthed at designated terminals, reflecting steady inflows of energy and food-related commodities to meet domestic demand.

In addition, port operations also involved the shifting of a vessel carrying soybean seeds from the outer anchorage to another berth. Such movements are part of routine operational planning aimed at improving berth utilization and ensuring smooth cargo handling.

Port Qasim Authority regularly publishes daily shipping operations reports to provide transparency and real-time information on port activities. These updates play a crucial role in logistics planning for importers, exporters, and shipping companies, while also offering insight into Pakistan’s maritime trade flow.
