Tom Holland has officially revealed his brand-new Spider-Man suit for the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
After a brief teaser on Friday, August 1 — coinciding with National Spider-Man Day — the full reveal came the following morning through a special video.
In the clip, Holland steps out from the shadows, showcasing a suit that pays closer homage to Spider-Man’s classic comic-book design than his previous MCU appearances. The updated costume features brighter red and blue tones along with a larger spider emblem, marking a notable shift from the suits seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home.
Set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026, Brand New Day will serve as the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie jointly produced by Sony and Disney. It also marks Holland’s first return to the MCU since the record-breaking No Way Home in 2021, where he shared the screen with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in a multiverse-spanning adventure.
No Way Home ended with Peter Parker making the heartbreaking decision to let Doctor Strange’s spell erase the world’s memory of his identity as Spider-Man. This left his closest friends and even MJ (Zendaya) with no recollection of their shared history, while the loss of Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) added emotional weight to his journey.
The upcoming film draws inspiration from Marvel’s Brand New Day comic storyline, where Spider-Man strikes a deal with the demon Mephisto to restore Aunt May’s life and erase his public identity — but at the cost of his marriage to MJ and a reset of his personal life.
Directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, Brand New Day will introduce Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas to the MCU. It will also feature appearances from Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, promising an action-packed crossover.
With a redesigned suit, fresh cast additions, and a storyline rooted in one of Spider-Man’s most dramatic comic arcs, Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about superhero films of 2026.
