June 24, 2025 – The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest made a grand return to Pakistan after a five-year pause, reigniting the spirit of creativity among thousands of young minds.

Organized by Indus Motor Company (IMC) in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation, the art contest resumed with renewed vigor after a pandemic-induced break, welcoming participants from all corners of the country.

Launched globally by Toyota in 2004, the Dream Car Art Contest encourages children aged 15 and below to unleash their imagination and envision the future through the power of art. This year’s contest in Pakistan saw an unprecedented response, drawing over 25,324 entries from 1,118 schools, including 183 government institutions across 29 cities—spanning from Quetta to Kashmir.

The grand finale of the contest celebrated 27 regional champions, with 9 exceptional young artists selected as National Winners. These talented individuals will proudly represent Pakistan at the international stage in Japan at the global Toyota Dream Car Art Contest finals in August 2025.

In addition to the national awards, two entries were given the Jury Choice Award, while three were honored with the “Waku Doki” award—symbolizing heart-pounding excitement—handpicked by female engineers at IMC. Three more artworks received the prestigious “CEO Choice Award” from Mr. Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO of Indus Motor Company.

The celebratory event was graced by Chief Guests Mr. Jamali and Mr. Shinji Yanagi, Vice Chairman of IMC, alongside Toyota dealers’ principals and a distinguished jury panel. IMC expressed its deep gratitude to the panel, which included renowned faculty from Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture—Aliya Yousuf, Wafa Ali, Muhammad Zeeshan, and Abdul Jabbar Gull—whose insight played a pivotal role in the art contest’s success.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Jamali remarked, “The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest goes beyond just art—it’s a celebration of dreams and innovation. It’s inspiring to witness how children across Pakistan have embraced this opportunity with such passion.”

As the winning artworks journey to Japan, Toyota and IMC reaffirm their commitment to fostering artistic talent and imagination, using the contest as a bridge between creativity and the future.
