TransGroup FZE has been awarded the prestigious series partnership rights for Pakistan’s international men’s and women’s home cricket series, following a highly competitive public bidding process. This partnership, which will run from October 2024 until December 2026, marks a significant milestone in the continued collaboration between TransGroup and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
TransGroup’s winning bid reflected a 61% increase in value from the previous rights cycle, underscoring the growing commercial appeal of Pakistan cricket. Over the next 26 months, Pakistan is set to host an impressive 59 men’s international matches, including nine Tests, 26 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 24 T20 Internationals (T20Is). In addition to these bilateral series, Pakistan will also serve as the host nation for the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy in February-March 2025.
Salman Naseer, Chief Operating Officer of the PCB, lauded the partnership, describing it as a monumental step forward for Pakistan cricket. “The awarding of series partnership rights for two years is great news for Pakistan cricket fans as we look forward to hosting a range of bilateral and tri-series in the coming months. The enhanced value of these rights signifies the robust growth and global stature of the Pakistan Cricket brand. We deeply appreciate our enduring partnership with TransGroup FZE and thank them for their unwavering support.”
This new partnership represents not only an increase in the financial value of Pakistan cricket but also strengthens its standing on the international stage, as TransGroup plays a pivotal role in furthering the sport’s reach and visibility.
Rao Usman Hashim Khan, Chief Operating Officer of TransGroup FZE, expressed his enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration. “It is an honour to have extended our ever-strong bond with the Pakistan Cricket Board by securing the exclusive series partnership and sponsorship rights until 2026. TransGroup takes immense pride in consistently supporting the PCB and contributing maximum commercial value to Pakistan cricket. We eagerly look forward to working closely with the PCB to deliver exceptional cricketing experiences to fans both in Pakistan and around the world.”
With this partnership, both TransGroup and the PCB aim to elevate the fan experience and deliver memorable cricketing events across Pakistan, solidifying the nation’s position as a hub for world-class cricket. As Pakistan gears up for a packed calendar of international fixtures, the collaboration is set to enhance both the commercial and sporting prestige of the country’s cricketing future.
