Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce have heaped praise on actress Blake Lively for her breakout role in the 2005 hit film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
The NFL stars shared their thoughts during the first episode of their new podcast, New Heights Film Club, where they reviewed the beloved coming-of-age movie with humor and admiration.
“It is also the film debut of our friend Blake Lively. She killed it. Absolutely wonderful as Bridget,” Jason said during the discussion.
Adding his thoughts, Travis agreed, saying, “Killed it. I might be a little biased, but I thought Bridget’s story was the most relatable and probably the most fun.” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end added that the film’s energy reminded him of “summer vibes and big dreams.”
Jason went on to describe Lively’s character as “tall, strong, bold, beautiful, and athletic.” The brothers later teased the actress over her running scenes, with Jason joking, “Not the best run, Blake! It doesn’t strike me as a star athlete run.”
Travis, however, quickly came to her defense. “She has good endurance though, because running like that and talking? I’d be completely out of breath trying to deliver my lines,” he said with a laugh.
Released in 2005, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants marked Lively’s film debut. Interestingly, Travis’s girlfriend Taylor Swift was once close friends with Blake, though their friendship reportedly cooled amid Blake’s legal feud with filmmaker Justin Baldoni.
