Geely is reportedly preparing to enter Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market with the EX5 electric SUV and EX2 hatchback after signing an exclusive import agreement with Bestway Group.

Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market is expected to welcome another global automaker, as Chinese automotive giant Geely has reportedly signed a formal agreement with Bestway Group to serve as its exclusive import partner in the country.

While the company has yet to officially announce its product lineup for Pakistan, multiple industry reports suggest that the Geely EX5 and Geely EX2 electric vehicles are likely to be the first models introduced.

If launched, the two EVs will compete in the rapidly expanding electric mobility segment alongside several international and local brands.

The reported partnership marks Geely’s anticipated entry into Pakistan, where demand for electric vehicles continues to rise amid increasing consumer interest in environmentally friendly transportation and lower operating costs.

Geely EX5 Likely to Target the Premium EV SUV Segment

According to available specifications, the Geely EX5 is a compact electric SUV powered by a 60.2 kWh LFP battery paired with a single front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 160 kW (218 hp) and 320 Nm of torque.

The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 175 km/h. It offers a driving range of up to 530 km (CLTC), making it suitable for both city commuting and long-distance travel.

The EX5 also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. Measuring 4,615 mm in length, the SUV features a 2,750 mm wheelbase, providing a spacious cabin for passengers.

Geely EX2 Could Become an Affordable Electric Hatchback

The Geely EX2 is expected to target buyers looking for a practical and affordable electric hatchback. It is equipped with a 39.4 kWh LFP battery and a single rear-wheel-drive motor generating 85 kW (114 hp) and 150 Nm of torque.

The hatchback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds and has a top speed of 130 km/h. It delivers a CLTC-certified driving range of up to 410 km, making it suitable for everyday urban driving.

The EX2 supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in around 25 minutes. With dimensions of 4,135 mm x 1,805 mm x 1,580 mm and a 2,650 mm wheelbase, it offers compact proportions while maintaining practical interior space.

Official Launch Yet to Be Confirmed

Despite growing speculation, neither Geely nor Bestway Group has officially confirmed the launch timeline or pricing for the EX5 and EX2 in Pakistan. However, automotive industry observers believe these models are strong candidates for the company’s debut in the local market.

If introduced, Geely’s arrival would further intensify competition in Pakistan’s electric vehicle sector, giving consumers more options across both the premium SUV and affordable hatchback categories.
