In a dramatic finish to the second T20 International, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) pulled off a remarkable two-wicket win over Bangladesh, leveling the two-match series 1-1. The match, played in front of an energetic crowd, showcased the growing competitiveness of the UAE cricket team against a full-member side like Bangladesh.

Batting first, Bangladesh posted a commanding total of 205 for five in their 20 overs. Young opener Tanzid Hasan led the charge with a blistering 59 off just 33 deliveries, while Tawhid Hridoy added a quick 45. Skipper Litton Das contributed a solid 40 to push Bangladesh past the 200-run mark. Despite the onslaught, UAE bowlers kept their nerve, with Muhammad Jawadullah taking three key wickets for 45 runs. Saghir Khan provided crucial support by claiming two wickets for 36 runs in his four-over spell.

In response, the UAE openers came out with intent and composure. Captain Muhammad Wasim led from the front with a dazzling 82 off 42 balls, hitting boundaries all around the park. He was well-supported by Muhammad Zohain, who scored 38 off 34 deliveries. Together, the pair stitched an impressive 107-run opening partnership that laid the foundation for a historic chase.

As the game moved into its final overs, pressure mounted. Wickets began to fall, but the UAE held firm. Haider Ali emerged as the hero, scoring an unbeaten 15 off just six balls and sealing the win with a composed shot on the penultimate delivery of the match.

From the Bangladesh bowling unit, Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana, and Rishad Hossain each picked up two wickets, but it wasn’t enough to stop the determined UAE side.

This victory marks a major moment for the UAE in international cricket, as they showcased resilience, firepower, and a growing capability to challenge teams like Bangladesh on the global stage.
