A striking photograph of global pop sensation Dua Lipa has once again taken the internet by storm — but contrary to what millions believe, it’s not her passport photo.
The viral image, which first surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) in July 2025, has garnered nearly nine million views, with fans praising the singer for looking effortlessly flawless in what was claimed to be her official passport picture. Many users joked about how “no one else ever looks that good in an ID photo,” fueling the post’s explosive reach.
However, fact-checkers have now confirmed that the image was never intended for a passport. The photo was originally taken during a fashion show photoshoot, where Dua appeared alongside several other models. Despite that, the picture continues to circulate with misleading captions, leaving fans convinced of its authenticity.
The renewed attention comes shortly after Dua Lipa was granted Kosovan citizenship in August 2025, a moment the singer described as deeply emotional. “It feels like my two sides are now one,” she said in a heartfelt statement.
Born in London to Kosovan-Albanian parents, Dua spent part of her childhood in Pristina after Kosovo declared independence. Over the years, she has openly expressed her love for the country, even founding a charity supporting vulnerable communities in Kosovo.
Previously, she was also awarded Albanian citizenship in 2022 in recognition of her efforts to promote her heritage through music and global influence.
