Batting first, India women posted a mammoth total of 330 runs, powered by a magnificent 155-run opening stand between Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal. However, Australia, known for their fearless approach, responded with a breathtaking chase that will be remembered as one of the greatest in tournament history.
Alyssa Healy, the captain of Australia, led from the front with a blistering 142 off 107 balls – the highest score of this year’s competition. She was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance. Healy and Phoebe Litchfield gave Australia a flying start, laying the foundation for a successful pursuit.
