July 31, 2025 – West Indies have officially announced their 14-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, scheduled to begin on July 31 in Florida, USA (5:00 AM, August 1 Pakistan time).
This West Indies T20I squad reflects several key changes, primarily due to injury setbacks and workload management following a packed international calendar. Alzarri Joseph, who played extensively during the recent UK tour and the just-concluded home series against Australia, has been rested for this T20I assignment.
Evin Lewis, sidelined due to injury during the final T20I against Australia, will also miss the T20I series against Pakistan. Team management is closely monitoring his recovery ahead of the ODI series starting August 8.
Additionally, Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King have been ruled out after sustaining side strains in the final T20I versus Australia. Their absence has paved the way for inclusions like Keacy Carty, Alick Athanaze, Shamar Joseph, and Johnson Charles for this West Indies T20I campaign.
The full West Indies squad includes: Shai Hope (captain), Jewel Andrew, Alick Athanaze, Jediah Blades, Keacy Carty, Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd.
After suffering a 5-0 T20I whitewash and a 3-0 Test series loss to Australia, West Indies will look to reset and bounce back in this crucial T20I series against Pakistan, aiming to regain momentum ahead of the ODI leg.
