Islamabad, March 28, 2026 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued fresh weather forecasts, predicting rain and thunderstorms across multiple cities on Saturday. Citizens are advised to remain alert, as heavy showers, hailstorms, and strong winds may affect daily life in some regions.
Unsettled Weather Across the Country
According to PMD, mainly dry and partly cloudy weather will prevail in most parts of Pakistan on Saturday. However, some areas—especially southwestern and northern Balochistan—may experience isolated rain and thunderstorms. The weather department has also issued warnings for possible flash flooding and structural damage due to strong winds and hailstorms.
Evening & Night Forecast
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Upper & Central Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan: Scattered rain and thunderstorms expected, with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms.
• Balochistan: Local streams and nullahs may face flash flooding. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast in Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara, Lasbella, Khuzdar, Quetta, Kalat, Sibbi, and Mastung, among others.
• Punjab: Cities including Murree, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, and Sialkot may witness intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hail.
• Sindh: Dadu, Jacobabad, Rohri, Larkana, and Qamber Shahdadkot may experience partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Key Warnings
• Flash Flooding: Local streams in Balochistan, KP, and parts of Punjab may overflow.
• Structural Damage: Windstorms, lightning, and hail could damage electric poles, billboards, and solar panels.
• High Mountain Snowfall: Northern KP, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan may experience light snowfall at higher altitudes.

PMD recorded rainfall in several cities over the past 24 hours:
• Balochistan: Turbat 26mm, Gwadar 17mm, Quetta 6mm
• Punjab: Multan City 6mm, Kot Addu 6mm, Bhakkar 3mm
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Dir 4mm
Maximum temperatures were notably high in southern cities: Mithi 38°C, Dadu & Chhor 37°C, Hyderabad 36°C. Meanwhile, northern and high-altitude cities recorded cooler temperatures: Skardu 5–19°C, Murree 5–20°C, Gilgit 8–27°C. Major cities’ temperatures include:
