With the release of Wicked: For Good just weeks away, fans have been treated to a brand-new teaser that takes them deeper into the enchanting world of Oz.
The fresh footage showcases Ariana Grande as Glinda, embracing her life in the vibrant, magical realm. Her portrayal gives fans another glimpse of the emotional and visual depth awaiting them in the highly anticipated sequel.
Director Jon M. Chu, speaking to People, shared his excitement about the upcoming film, saying he hopes audiences “feel the same joy and love from the first movie, but with extra depth this time.”
He added, “This is where you get to see Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande really come to life as actors. It’s about their adult selves looking back at childhood dreams that are now shattered in front of them.”
Chu also hinted that the two Wicked films are deeply connected, explaining, “When you look back, I think people will see both movies as one complete story. I’m excited to complete that journey for everyone.”
