Islamabad, November 23, 2025 – Winter has officially made its way into Pakistan’s capital as a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected over the next three days, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The minimum temperature in Islamabad is forecast to fall to 3°C, marking one of the season’s coldest spells so far.
The PMD reported that cold and dry conditions are likely to dominate the federal capital and surrounding areas on both Sunday and Monday. With continental air prevailing across most of Pakistan, the overall weather trend is shifting toward colder days and very chilly nights, especially in the northern mountainous regions.
At the national level, the Met Office has warned of a further decline in day and night temperatures in northern areas in the coming days. Smog and shallow fog are also expected to persist in parts of Punjab, particularly during night and early morning hours.
