Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, continuing the legacy of its predecessor with premium craftsmanship, cutting-edge performance, and a groundbreaking camera system.
The smartphone boasts top-tier specifications, including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, enhanced battery life, and an improved Leica-tuned quad-camera setup.
Flagship Performance and Battery
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This new chipset delivers up to 45% better performance while consuming 52% less power compared to previous generations.
A key highlight is the battery upgrade. The global model will feature a 5,410mAh unit, while the Chinese variant comes with a 6,000mAh battery. The inclusion of 10% silicon carbide improves efficiency, and fast charging remains at 90W wired and 80W wireless.
Stunning Display and Design
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra sports a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200×1440 resolution, an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits.
It comes in three editions: Black, White, and a special Silver Chrome Edition. The Black variant features a grippy texture, while the White model has an etched finish. The Silver Chrome edition, made from aerospace-grade glass fiber and PU leather, offers a classic camera-inspired look. Weighing 229g, it is slightly heavier than the standard models.
Revolutionary Camera System
Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica, refining its quad-camera system. The primary 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor has a 23mm lens with a fixed f/1.63 aperture. A major upgrade is the 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor in the 100mm telephoto camera, capturing 136% more light. The ultrawide camera now has a 14mm f/2.2 lens.
Software and Availability
Running on Android 15 with HyperOS 2, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra includes HyperAI tools for AI-assisted writing and translation. Xiaomi promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
Priced from CNY 6,499 ($895), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra launches in China today and is expected to reach global markets soon.
