Xiaomi 15 Unveils Stunning Red Edition for Chinese New Year

redmi 14 series

Xiaomi has introduced a vibrant new red colorway for its Xiaomi 15 smartphone, launched initially in October in China.

Previously available in black, white, silver, green, and lilac, the new red edition commemorates the Chinese New Year, celebrated on January 29—a significant cultural event in China.

The red Xiaomi 15 features a sleek black frame, complementing the black accents on its rectangular camera module, creating a visually striking contrast.

While the device’s aesthetics take center stage in this update, the hardware specifications remain unchanged.

For those unfamiliar with the Xiaomi 15’s capabilities, it boasts a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1200×2670 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate its triple rear camera setup, including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The device also includes a 32 MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.

Battery performance is another highlight, with a 5,400 mAh capacity supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. This ensures the Xiaomi 15 remains a top contender in the flagship smartphone market.

Currently, the Xiaomi 15 is only available in China. However, if past launches are any indication, a global rollout is likely to follow the debut of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This bold red edition aligns with Xiaomi’s strategy to fuse technology and tradition, celebrating cultural milestones while offering premium devices. As global anticipation grows, fans outside of China eagerly await the opportunity to experience this festive edition firsthand.
