Xiaomi’s standard flagship is reportedly set to arrive in China with a compact OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and a 7,200mAh battery.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the standard Xiaomi 18, after initially introducing the Pro models with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.

The Chinese smartphone maker has hinted that the regular model will arrive soon, while a new leak from well-known tipster The Panda Is Bald has revealed several expected specifications.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 will feature a 6.4-inch OLED display, making it similar in size to the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The handset is expected to use an M11 panel with a flat screen, while the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset is reportedly set to power the device.

The camera system could also closely follow the Pro model. The Xiaomi 18 is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, alongside a 200MP telephoto camera and a 50MP wide-angle camera.

The periscope telephoto camera is reportedly capable of 3x optical zoom, slightly below the 3.2x optical zoom expected on the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The combination of high-resolution main and telephoto sensors would give the standard model a substantial camera setup despite its smaller size.

Battery capacity could be another major highlight. The Xiaomi 18 is expected to pack a 7,200mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and wireless charging. If accurate, the standard model would have a larger battery capacity than the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

Unlike the previous generation, the Xiaomi 18 is not expected to feature a secondary display on the rear panel. The device is also likely to be priced below the Pro variants, helping distinguish the standard flagship within the series.

The latest leak suggests that Xiaomi could launch the Xiaomi 18 in China in December 2026, matching earlier reports about the company’s release schedule.

Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the specifications, pricing or launch date of the standard model. More details are expected to emerge ahead of its reported December launch.
