Xiaomi has started internal testing for HyperOS 3, its next major operating system update based on Android 15, across multiple devices.
While HyperOS 3 is primarily built on Android 16, Xiaomi plans to bring the new interface and features to several older smartphones that won’t receive the Android 16 upgrade.

According to logs shared on the Mi Community, Xiaomi has begun internal testing for 12 smartphones and tablets. These devices include the Xiaomi 13 Lite, Redmi Note 13 5G, Poco X6 Neo, and Poco F5 Pro, which are currently being tested with both Chinese and Global ROMs. The remaining eight devices are undergoing testing with the Chinese ROM only.
The initial batch of devices currently in internal testing for HyperOS 3 (Android 15) includes:
Xiaomi 13 Lite
Xiaomi Civi 2
Poco F5 Pro

Poco X6 Neo
Redmi Note 13
Redmi Note 13R Pro

More Devices to Join Testing Soon
In addition to the first 12 models, Xiaomi reportedly plans to expand the internal beta program to at least six more devices. These are expected to include the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, 12T, Poco F5 5G, Poco M6 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Turbo. This expansion will bring more mid-range and flagship phones under the HyperOS 3 testing umbrella.
What to Expect from HyperOS 3
HyperOS 3 introduces an upgraded interface, smoother performance, and tighter integration across smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices. Built with a focus on stability and efficiency, the new operating system aims to deliver faster multitasking, improved animations, and enhanced AI features.
Global Rollout Expected in Coming Months
While Xiaomi has not yet shared an official release timeline, the public beta and stable rollout for these devices are expected to begin in the first half of 2026. As internal testing progresses, more Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco users worldwide will soon experience the latest version of HyperOS 3 based on Android 15.
